The Role:
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for the maintenance, repair, and installation of equipment, machinery, and facilities within the organization. This role ensures that all systems operate efficiently and that any issues are resolved promptly to minimize downtime and maintain productivity.
Main Responsibilities:
1. Preventive Maintenance:
· Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on equipment and machinery.
· Identify potential issues and perform necessary repairs before they lead to significant downtime.
2. Repair and Troubleshooting:
· Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and plumbing issues.
· Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and perform corrective actions.
3. Installation:
· Assist in the installation of new equipment and machinery.
4. Safety and Compliance:
· Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations.
· Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations regarding maintenance activities.
5. Record Keeping:
· Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and installations.
· Document any issues and the steps taken to resolve them.
6. Collaboration:
· Work closely with other departments to schedule maintenance and minimize disruption.
· Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding the status of equipment and facilities.
Inventory Management:
· Manage inventory of maintenance supplies and parts.
· Order necessary parts and supplies to ensure availability when needed.
Working Conditions:
· The role may require working in various environments wearing PPE at heights and in confined spaces.
· Must be available to work on-call and overtime as needed.
Who you are:
· Minimum Diploma/NITEC in mechanical/electrical engineering or equivalent.
· At least 2 years of relevant experience.
· Proficiency in using hand and power tools.
· Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
· Basic understanding of electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.
· Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical manuals.
· Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs).
· Capability to work in confined spaces and at heights.
· Dexterity to perform tasks that require manual skill and coordination.
Preferable Nationality: Singaporean / Singapore PR preferred
