Job Description: Sales Manager - China Market Expansion


Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Sales Manager to lead our expansion efforts in the dynamic and strategic market of China, particularly focusing on the Guangxi region. This role plays a crucial part in driving revenue growth, cultivating client relationships, and establishing our presence in the region. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Chinese market dynamics, especially in the education sector, be fluent in Mandarin, and be capable of navigating cultural nuances effectively. We particularly welcome young graduates who bring fresh, creative ideas to the table.


Responsibilities:

  • Market Strategy: Develop and execute comprehensive sales strategies to penetrate and expand within the China market, initially focusing on the Guangxi region.
  • Client Management: Build and maintain strong, enduring relationships with key clients in China, understanding their business needs and ensuring their satisfaction.
  • Sales Growth: Achieve sales targets by effectively managing the sales team and leveraging market opportunities.
  • Market Analysis: Conduct thorough market research to identify trends, competitive landscape, and growth opportunities, particularly in the education sector.
  • Platform Management: Manage presence and engagement on local platforms such as Little Red Book (Xiaohongshu) and Douyin (TikTok) to enhance brand visibility and drive sales.
  • Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and motivate a high-performing sales team focused on achieving goals and delivering exceptional service.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with marketing, product, and operations teams to align strategies and execute plans in the China market.
  • Negotiation: Negotiate contracts and agreements with clients to establish mutually beneficial partnerships.
  • Reporting and Analytics: Track sales metrics, prepare reports, and utilize data-driven insights to optimize strategies.

Requirements:

  • Solid understanding of Chinese market dynamics.
  • Knowledge of the education sector is a significant advantage.
  • Fluent in Mandarin and capable of effectively communicating in business contexts.
  • Knowledge of one or two dialects is a plus.
  • Experience in managing platforms such as Little Red Book and Douyin (TikTok) preferred.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and lead a diverse team.
  • Strategic thinker with analytical abilities to interpret market data and make informed decisions.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Education, or related fields; relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
