Finance Manager / Financial Controller

About the role:

As our Finance Manager / Financial Controller, you will work closely with the executive team to support the financial operation of our company and its portfolio companies. You will be involved in executing strategic financial plans, maintain detailed business and contractual records and prepare for audits and tax season.

Roles & Responsibilities:

1. Finance Management

  • Manage the company’s daily financial operations,
  • Prepare financial statements and management reports for the company and its portfolio companies,
  • Collaborate with auditors and tax agents on audit and corporate tax matters.

2. Budget and Cash Management

  • Prepare yearly budgets, including reviews of cash flow for the company and its portfolio companies,
  • Conduct budget reviews to identify strengths and gaps,
  • Assist the CEO in preparing financial information to support the development plans of its portfolio companies.

3. Corporate Administration

  • Maintain the capitalization table for the company and its portfolio companies,
  • To liaise with corporate secretary on the issuance of new shares and share options,
  • Liaise with corporate secretary on board meetings, AGMs.

4. Internal Controls & Processes

  • Maintain a proper approval hierarchy in signatory requirements,
  • Maintain and review various work processes, SOPs, and protocols of the finance operations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting,
  • 3 - 5 years of experience,
  • Good understanding of corporate finance and data analysis,
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills,
  • Good organizational and time-management skills,
  • An aptitude for critical thinking and problem solving,
  • CPA or CFA certification will be a plus.
