Our client is an established MNC within industrial machinery industry. As part of project expansion, they are looking for an Engineer to undertake the Gas Generators product line.
Responsibilities:
1. Gas Generators (80% of Time)
- Develop and support dealers; build partnerships with companies (EPC, Gas).
- Define roles in engineering, procurement, construction, and after-service.
- Create proposals and initial designs (plans, P&I, single line diagrams, wiring system diagrams) based on customer requirements.
- Review tender specifications and prepare technical proposals to meet project needs.
- Collaborate with vendors and suppliers to select suitable components and system designs.
- Relay detailed technical information from sales to engineering for production orders.
- Understand and comply with local authority codes for gas generator set applications.
- Provide regulatory and standards consultancy to sales and partners.
- Manage project technical documents and schedules with sales, engineers, QA, procurement, and production teams.
- Ensure timely project delivery and compliance with specifications.
2. New Energy Transition Applications (5% of Time)
- Develop customer relationships and build partnerships with companies.
- Clarify new application concepts.
- Coordinate with internal departments and external partners.
- Create initial proposals (plans, P&I, single line diagrams, wiring system diagrams) based on customer requirements.
3. Customised Generators (Diesel) (15% of Time)
- Transfer detailed technical information from sales to engineering for production orders.
- Perform engineering calculations to support customization project requirements.
- Develop technical proposals and costing for customization projects.
- Review technical documents to ensure compliance with project requirements.
- Develop equipment specifications and manage vendors for customized projects.
- Adhere to company environmental practices.
Requirements
- Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
- Minimum of 3 years of product or engineering design experience.
- Knowledge of industrial gas engines and co-gen applications.
- Experience in manufacturing industries.
- General mechanical and electrical knowledge.
- Project management skills.
- Problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of engineering designs (product and system).
- Presentation skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office for preparing technical specifications and engineering documents.
- Proficiency in engineering software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks).
- Ability to work under tight schedules.
- Positive working attitude, creativity, and teamwork skills.
- Willingness to travel on short notice
