Data Security Specialist operates as a technical expert in the Data Security Services division, concentrating on the oversight, administration, and maintenance of the bank's Data and Endpoint Security systems. This position is based in Europe, predominantly following Paris business hours, with adaptable schedules to accommodate operational needs.
Work Schedule:
- Primary focus on supporting Asia and EMEA (Paris) regions, with potential for off-hours support during critical incidents or escalations, as per on-call requirements
- Works on a rotating shift basis
- Standard shift: 2 PM to 11 PM Singapore Time, with one week per rotation on a general 9 AM to 6 PM Singapore Time schedule
Responsibilities:
The Data Security Specialist's key responsibilities include:
- Technical leadership: Acting as final escalation point and technical authority for the team, overseeing system modifications and operational changes.
- Incident management: Proactively handling incidents, conducting fault diagnosis, and addressing user issues.
- Process ownership: Managing Incident, Problem, and Change Management processes, and ensuring adherence to standards and procedures.
- Project involvement: Contributing to major projects and global infrastructure events.
- Security investigations: Conducting data leak investigations using forensic tools and managing case resolution.
- Team management: Assigning tasks, encouraging collaboration, and participating in recruitment.
- Continuous improvement: Spearheading initiatives, emphasizing automation, and conducting root cause analysis for critical issues.
- Documentation and compliance: Maintaining current documentation and ensuring compliance with all relevant requirements.
- Professional development: Staying updated on relevant knowledge and completing required training.
- This role combines technical expertise, leadership, and operational management in the data security domain.
Functional:
- 8-10 years of IT Security experience, focusing on Symantec products and data security solutions
- Relevant degree in IT or Computer Science
- Experience in enterprise-level IT security policy implementation and enforcement
- Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team
- Excellent English skills; French is a plus
Technical:
- Extensive hands-on experience with Symantec Data Loss Prevention (DLP)
- Proficiency in deploying, integrating, and administering various Symantec DLP components
- Ability to define and configure DLP policies per business needs
- Scripting knowledge (Python, Regular Expression, PowerShell) is beneficial
- Relevant professional certifications (e.g., CISSP, Symantec Certified Specialist) preferred
- The ideal candidate should have a strong background in IT security, particularly with Symantec products, and be able to handle both technical and operational aspects of data security in a large enterprise environment.
