China Everbright Water Limited is a company dual listed on the Singapore Stock Exchange and Hong Kong Stock Exchange. We are currently looking for a legal assistant manager or legal manager to join our legal and corporate secretarial department.
You will be reporting directly to the legal counsel and company secretary.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Provide legal support, such as: drafting, reviewing legal documents, providing legal advice to other stakeholders, negotiating legal documents;
- Involve in various corporate secretarial matters, such as drafting board resolutions, minutes, meeting materials, advising on corporate governance issues.
- Conduct research on the latest legal and regulatory changes;
- Work closely with other departments and external teams (such as external lawyers, external company secretaries) where necessary; and
- Oversee the company's compliance programs and ensure adherence to all legal requirements.
- Other ad-hoc administrative matters
Requirements
- The ability to communicate, read, and write fluently in both Chinese and English, as well as expertise in reviewing agreements and legal documents.
- Strong willingness to learn and able to work individually with minimum supervision.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Minimum 4-5 years of working experience , either in-house or in a law firm.
- Bachelor of Law (LL.B) from a recognised university and called to the bar in a commonwealth jurisdiction.
