Job Description
- Design and Development: Develop electrical and instrumentation control designs for water treatment plants and related facilities.
Create detailed schematics, wiring diagrams, and control panel layouts. - Project Management: Manage and oversee electrical and instrumentation aspects of water treatment construction projects.
Coordinate with project managers, construction teams, and subcontractors to ensure timely and accurate co - Pre-Commissioning Activities: Review and understand project specifications, drawings, and documentation related to the commissioning process.
Develop and implement pre-commissioning plans and procedures, ensuring all systems and components are ready for commissioning. - System Installation Verification: Inspect and verify the installation of electrical, instrumentation, and control systems to ensure compliance with design specifications and standards.
Conduct pre-functional checks to confirm the integrity and functionality of installed systems. - Commissioning Execution: Plan, coordinate, and execute commissioning activities for water treatment plants and related facilities.
Perform functional testing of electrical, instrumentation, and control systems, ensuring all components operate correctly and meet performance criteria. - Troubleshooting and Issue Resolution: Identify, diagnose, and resolve any issues or defects encountered during the commissioning process.
Work closely with engineering, construction, and operations teams to implement corrective actions and solutions. - System Optimization: Fine-tune and optimize system performance to meet project specifications and operational requirements.
Ensure systems are operating efficiently and effectively, minimizing downtime and maximizing reliability. - Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate and detailed records of commissioning activities, including test results, calibration data, and system performance reports.
Prepare and submit comprehensive commissioning reports to project managers and stakeholders. - Safety and Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations during commissioning activities, ensuring a safe working environment.
Conduct risk assessments and implement safety measures to prevent accidents and hazards. - Client and Stakeholder Communication: Communicate regularly with clients, project managers, and other stakeholders to provide updates on commissioning progress and any issues encountered.
Ensure client satisfaction by addressing their concerns and requirements during the commissioning phase. - Training and Handover: Provide training to client personnel on the operation and maintenance of commissioned systems.
Prepare handover documentation and ensure a smooth transition from the commissioning phase to the operational phase. - Post-Commissioning Support: Offer post-commissioning support and troubleshooting assistance as needed.
Conduct follow-up visits to ensure systems are functioning as intended and to address any additional client needs.
The Successful Applicant
- Degree in Chemical Engineering and/or Degree in Engineering (Mechanical)
- Minimum 6 - 8 years of relevant experience in Water and Waste Treatment and experience in onshore/ offshore Oil & Gas area or FPSO lines
- Willing travel to offshore project sites and perform offshore commissioning / assist facility startup
