Responsible for ensuring all works are performed in accordance with specified procedures and standards, maintaining a high level of operational excellence. This role involves planning and overseeing the work of the maintenance team and the upkeep of buildings, grounds, and machinery to ensure the safe and efficient operation of the facility. Additionally, the Facility Engineer will perform maintenance tasks as required, continuously seeking to optimize processes and implement best practices. The incumbent is also tasked with strategic planning, process improvements, and compliance with all regulatory requirements.
- Oversee all aspects of property maintenance, ensuring the facility and its grounds are well-maintained and presentable.
- Implement maintenance strategies to enhance the longevity and reliability of facility infrastructure.
- Lead the execution of the preventive maintenance program, coordinating activities to minimize downtime and maximize equipment performance.
- Analyze maintenance data to identify trends and proactively address potential issues.
- Perform routine and advanced maintenance on production machinery, ensuring optimal performance and minimizing disruptions.
- Lead the installation, commissioning, and calibration of new production machinery, ensuring seamless integration into existing processes and vice versa
- Liaise with contractors for maintenance, service, and repair activities, ensuring quality workmanship and schedule adherence.
- Negotiate contracts and manage vendor relationships to secure the best value for the facility.
- Maintain comprehensive and up-to-date maintenance records, leveraging data for continuous improvement
- Be involved in and carry out planning, execution and updates for all daily work
- Attend to request / complaints from users and carries out minor repairs.
- Liaise and attend to outside contractors during major repairs/installation works and provides assistance as required.
- Comply with all applicable quality, health, safety, security, and environmental regulations, conducting regular audits and inspections.
Requirements:
- Degree/Diploma in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering
(Candidates with ITE qualification and relevant years of experience will be considered) - Prior experience in manufacturing environment preferred
- Possess good practical knowledge of electrical and mechanical work
- Possess strong understanding of facility electrical infrastructure system
- Good written and oral communications skills, excellent interpersonal skills, ability to prioritize work efficiently and good team orientation
