Job Description
Nuevocor is a pre-clinical stage biopharmaceutical company dedicated to developing genetic medicines to treat the underlying cause of genetic cardiomyopathies. Backed by an international syndicate of reputable venture capital firms, it will focus on advancing its pipeline of programs to clinical trials. It will also leverage its platform technology, underpinned by a deep understanding of cardiac mechanobiology, to discover and develop therapies for multiple cardiomyopathies.
Nuevocor’s Singapore R&D site is seeking to hire Research Associates/Technicians to expand our internal research capabilities. You will be joining a close-knit team where you will work closely with company scientists. You will be part of a dynamic and fast-paced biotech working environment.
Responsibilities
- Work with company scientists to execute and troubleshoot experiments in a variety of areas, including target discovery, target validation, and lead optimization of gene therapy for genetic cardiomyopathies
- Contribute to multiple projects to achieve project milestones and meet timelines
- Keep detailed and accurate records of experimental protocols and data
- Support scientists in data analysis and progress reports
- Contribute to lab management
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences or related fields; Polytechnic certifications will be considered for Technician positions
- Experience or prior exposure to any of the following areas is preferred:
- Handling of mouse models, such as transgenic colony management, administration of drugs, tissue extraction and processing, histology, and molecular assays;
- Experience in cell and molecular biology and biochemistry, such as cell culture, transfections, molecular cloning, PCR, qPCR, Western blots, ELISA, immunoprecipitations, immunofluorescence microscopy
- Keen interest in translational research and comfortable working efficiently to meet milestones
- High standards in documentation and record keeping
- Good time management and pro-active attitude
- Excellent communication skills and able to work in a team
