Key Responsibilities
- Provide Installation, administration and maintenance support for Storage Area Network and Enterprise Backup.
- Playing a major role in the operations of the storage and backup infrastructure
- Regularly updating the firmware, Health check and monitoring of the storage devices.
- Ensure that operational SLA's are met, and crafting meaningful reports and metrics to track progress of current infrastructure, including capacity planning and operational improvements
- Ensure comprehensive documentation of the storage solution is in place.
- Prepare test plan in consultation with the customer to ensure the solution can functionally.
- Backup job configuration and scheduling.
- Backup server performance tuning.
- Troubleshoot any backup related.
- Perform Disaster Recovery (DR) for all the critical systems and ensure successful rebuild of Production or DR servers after each DR should the need arise.
- Identify potential changes and system improvements for consideration and implementation (continuous improvements)
- Create, maintain and distribute status reports of progress to Manager
- Any other ad-hoc tasks assigned.
Requirements
- At least 8 years of IT experience in administering Enterprise Storage (Hitachi Dell EMC, Networker) design, deployment, and operations in a large enterprise environment.
- Experience in Enterprise Backup solutions design and operations.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities and adeptness in creative problem-solving.
- In-depth knowledge of security, risk, and compliance frameworks, particularly within the financial services industry.
- Experience in bash, PowerShell and other scripting for operational efficiency.
- Experience in managing day to day operations of Enterprise IT infrastructure, including the change management process, risk and impact assessment.
- Experience in performing VM migration on databases like Oracle, MySQL, and MSSQL would be advantageous.
- Ability to direct project design and planning activities associated with complex or large sized network infrastructure development projects.
- Experience in dealing with vendors on technology and services.
