Job Summary:
We are seeking a diligent and organized Purchasing Clerk to join our team. As a Purchasing Clerk, you will be responsible for procuring goods, materials, and services necessary for the operation of our hardware and machinery business. You will work closely with our procurement team to ensure timely and cost-effective purchasing and maintain accurate records of all transactions.
Responsibilities:
- Source and procure goods, materials, and services from suppliers
- Negotiate prices, terms, and delivery schedules with suppliers
- Prepare and process purchase orders, invoices, and payments
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of purchases, prices, and inventory levels
- Collaborate with internal departments to ensure procurement needs are met
- Monitor and report on market trends and price changes
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
Requirements:
- Strong communication and negotiation skills
- Diploma or degree in Business or related field
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and ERP systems
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Nice to Have:
- Experience in hardware or machinery industry
- Knowledge of inventory management software
- Certified Purchasing Professional (CPP) certification
