Flying Tiger Copenhagen stores receive many goods every month: products such as toys, food, office supplies, personal care, home, accessories, electronics etc. Our stores are located in Europe, as well as in Japan, Korea, Middle East and more countries to come.

This is the job
As Product Merchandiser, you will be responsible for supplier and product sourcing in the Region, for MOQ / price / lead-time negotiations, and orders’ follow-up from beginning until delivery.
You are a point of contact for our Asian suppliers, aiming to build processes and flows and to maintain strong relationships with them.
You will also have close communication with other team-members located in Copenhagen and Shanghai on daily operations; as key problem solver, you act as a critical link between headquarter and suppliers.
The role is crucial to understand how to optimize suppliers’ performance, work on contingency plans in all aspects and cross functionally within the business, collaboratively problem solving to simplify operations and generate speed.
Responsibilities
· Discover suppliers and product opportunities via market research and data analysis
· Close follow-up on our orders and end-to-end responsible for on-time delivery of FTC assortment cross Campaign & Fixed orders
· Close communication on additional order requests, cancellations, ETD, compliance, and quality issues
· Retrieve additional compliance documentation to support Franchise business
· Suppliers’ management i.e., on negotiation of price, MOQ and delivery
· Suppliers ’training and engagement activities to ensure cooperation and accountability long term, both remotely and on-site
· Suppliers ’management to reach company needs and goals
· Proactive with problem solving initiatives, diagnosing production issues and working with suppliers to present viable alternatives
· Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders (commercial, planning, compliance, quality, CSR teams, logistics, etc.) on different activities - such as pre-product testing, factory evaluation and social compliance audit
Qualifications
· Preferably bachelors’degree in international trade, and/or min. 4 years relevant work
· Constant improvement mindset and way of working, follow-up, analyze and find solutions
· Basic product/production/industry knowledge; familiar with supplier management and ability to effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders
· Great negotiation & organizational skills, plus ability to perform and adapt to a high demand, time-sensitive, fast-paced changing environment
· High accuracy level and attention to details
· Fluent in English, both written and spoken, other Asian languages could be an advantage
· Good experience in system operation (i.e., PLM, ERP, AX, etc.), Microsoft super user preferred, especially in Excel
· Outgoing and able to initiate and establish good relationships internal as well as external
