About ArcadeXR
ArcadeXR connects people with games. Our work includes a digital arcade platform, consumer VR, and other exciting titles that engage and delight people with physical gameplay experiences in digital worlds.
Our UI/UX Designers are the champions of the end user, crafting and guiding the user experience for each of our games and products. You’ll work closely with game designers, artists, and engineers to conceptualize, design, and iterate in support of all gameplay features and systems, with the ultimate objective being to deliver the world’s most delightful arcade experiences.
Responsibilities
- Gather and evaluate user requirements in collaboration with product managers, designers, and engineers.
- Translate game and platform requirements into amazing user experiences.
- Craft UX design materials that communicate solutions (flows, wireframes, prototypes, etc).
- Iterate using feedback and user testing to deliver exceptional UI/UX solutions.
- Hands-on development and delivery of effective and delightful user interfaces.
- Use analytics to assess the impact of all UI design and usability changes.
- Assist with user research, interviews, surveys, and usability studies, translating findings into wireframes and prototypes.
- Develop standard UI components, graphics, and style guides for company-wide use.
- Effectively communicate and specify your designs to developers and other key stakeholders.
- Support product, marketing, and business needs.
- Conduct industry research and stay up-to-date on best practices, competitor UI designs and emerging technologies.
- Support the QA team to make sure features are implemented as intended.
Skills
- Solid art foundation, keen sense of color, strong drawing skills.
- Ability to develop innovative design solutions to complex user interaction problems.
- Strong presentation skills.
- Ability to lead and direct design thinking for digital gameplay interactions.
- Expert knowledge of UI design principles and techniques, responsive design, and mobile UI.
- Strong time management skills.
- Ability to perform in a fast-paced design environment under minimal supervision.
- Expertise with design tools such as Photoshop and Figma
Qualifications
- 5+ years in conceptualizing and creating user interface designs for responsive web, iOS, and Android. Experienced in game UI design an added advantage.
- Degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Interaction Design, Multimedia Design, Game Design, or UX/UI Design related field
