Seeking an engineer to manage an E-waste (phones, laptops, tablets and PCB’s) recycling process using a new low-temperature combined gasification and pyrolysis technology.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and optimise the e-waste recycling process utilizing the new low-temperature combined gasification and pyrolysis technology.
- Design, implement, and maintain efficient systems for E-waste disposal and recycling, focusing on minimizing environmental impact.
- Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and safety standards throughout the recycling process.
- Manage and coordinate the day-to-day operations of the e-waste recycling facility.
- Analyse and improve process efficiency, seeking ways to enhance resource recovery and reduce waste.
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules for recycling equipment and instrumentation.
- Collaborate with other team members to create seamless and well-designed waste disposal plans.
- Monitor and report on pollution levels, process efficiency, and overall environmental impact.
- Oversee and administer budgets related to the e-waste recycling operations.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience in hot gas or smelting processes, which is crucial for understanding and managing the gasification and pyrolysis technology.
- Strong knowledge of E-waste composition, recycling techniques, and associated environmental impacts.
- Familiarity with relevant environmental regulations and waste management legislation.
- Experience with process control systems and instrumentation related to waste treatment or recycling.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to optimize complex processes.
- Strong leadership and project management skills to coordinate teams and oversee facility operations.
