- Trial production and test run of new grades, new process and equipment.
- Process study, investigation and suggestion of plant improvement modification.
- Co-ordinate with technical/process engineering section for process simulation, evaluation, investigation, performance and yield optimization.
- Make process simulation/calculation to evaluate existing plant operating condition.
- Make recommendations for any corrective measure needed to optimize plant operation.
- Conduct cost reduction and process efficiency improvement study to optimize plant operation.
- Conduct feasibility study and necessary field tests such as debottlenecking, environmental and cost reduction projects, leading to/follow-up CAPEX.
- Perform basic engineering design for all potential investment projects, prepare P&ID, specification and requisitions for major equipment purchase by collecting required technical information, review vendors’ document, and conduct hazard analysis, performance tests and commissioning activities.
Requirements
Candidate should have experience with sophisticated skills to carry out daily operation and lead projects:
- On-site/field work (test, trial commissioning etc.), safety/risk assessment and process engineering experience at least 10 years in both chemical and polymer processing plant.
- Use of historical data and theoretical calculation of polymerization and other chemical reactions to create process conditions.
- Establish DCS related systems like SIS (Safety Instrumented System), Alarm Management System and any other DX tools.
- Knowledge of polymer chemistry/property and actual work experience for polymer processing facilities with extruder and drying.
