The Role
FDM is looking to expand its Training Division in Singapore to meet rapidly growing client demand. There is an opportunity for an experienced and enthusiastic Technical Trainer with proven commercial experience to join our training team in FDM’s Singapore Skills Lab. The role will predominantly involve training the latest pool of talented graduates, helping shape and develop their future by providing the skills they need to succeed as Technical Consultants. You will be working in a team of talented individuals, utilizing your industry knowledge and sharing it with the future generation. Previous training experience is not essential but it is important to be able to explain technical concepts.
Duties and Responsibilities
o Delivering Technical training modules effectively and to a high standard
o Assessing and grading trainee work
o Providing feedback to trainees
o Providing coaching and support to trainees
o Any other ad hoc duties as required
Essential Criteria
o Solid commercial experience in a technical IT role
o Strong interpersonal skills
o Excellent communication and presentation skills
o Proactive approach to learning new technologies to broaden coverage of existing technical modules
o Good level of spoken and written English
Commercial experience in 3 or more of the following
o SQL
o Unix
o Excel
o Python
o Cloud
o Data
o Automation / Software Testing
o Information Security
Desirable Criteria (not essential)
o Working in a Scrum team
o Previous IT training experience
o IT support experience
o Software development skills in an OO language
