Job Summary:
Application assessment, design and documentation of high-quality custom communication systems and electrical products to meet customer specifications. Low to Moderate complexity level.
Roles & Responsibilities: Include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
1. Application Assessment
Perform engineering needed to support sales in proposing custom equipment and systems:
· Evaluate customer specifications;
· Determine feasibility of custom product design and equipment integration;
· Provide preliminary electronic/electrical circuit design to assist in;
· Provide preliminary mechanical engineering design to determine form, fit and function of product.
2. Project design and processing
1. Generate a written bill of material to provide accurate parts list for products being built.
2. Produce accurate drawings of all products and systems:
3. Ensure products are built as designed;
4. Provide production department and the customer with accurate drawings of purchased items, supplying the information requested.
5. Develop step-by-step test procedures for fabricated custom products and their sub-components:
6. Ensure proper testing of the product;
7. Provide the shop with technical support on any testing problems encountered.
8. Assist other engineers with problems encountered, reducing project completion time.
9. Answer customer inquiries (via telephone, fax or letter) on products designed, to ensure satisfied customers.
10. Generate IOM (Installation, Operation and Maintenance) documents for custom products or systems, supplying the customer with accurate documentation on products purchased.
3. Customer Service and Support
a. Provide technical support to customers during the installation and start-up of customer products or systems.
b. When necessary, travel to customer site if operational problems occur and require the attention of design engineer.

Required Qualifications:
Education and Experience:
Engineering degree or diploma with minimum two years related experience or more than 5years related experience may be considered
Preferred Skills:
Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communications skills. Product knowledge, with an emphasis on understanding large communication system design - and the ability to correlate this with the customer's specification, desired.
Computer Skills: Must have strong Microsoft Office and Outlook. SAP knowledge, AutoCAD (a plus)
Problem Solving: Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner; gathers and analysies information skillfully; develops alternative solutions, works well in group problem solving situations; uses reason even when dealing with emotional topics.
Project Management: Develops project plans; coordinates projects; communicates changes and progress; completes projects on time and budget’ manages project team activities.
Salary range: S$5,000.00 to S$5,500.00
