As a Senior Embedded System Hardware Engineer, you will play a critical role in our team. Responsibilities
- Design, Document, and Develop Optimized Hardware
- Testing, bug fixing, and improving hardware performance.
- PCB Layout and Schematic Capture
- Create schematic and PCB Library and Bill of Materials
- Preparing plans and documentation to support products through certification/approval.
- Assisting with product issues both during production and in-service
- Perform logical design (Create netlist and routing rules from customer-provided information packages and schematics)
- Perform PCB physical layout (parts placement, routing, trace length adjustment, verification, etc.)
- Apply PCB electrical knowledge (high-speed design, RF, and power) to meet project requirements
Design for manufacturability â€' work with PCB suppliers, apply best industry practices to reduce cost and maximize PCB yield
- Verify new internal design tools and feedback to the development team
- Develop design processes to reduce design cycle time and defects and improve product performance. •
- Create design documents and training Requirements
Requirements
- A minimum of 4 years of relevant PCB design experience will be considered
- Experience in 6 plus layered designs
- PCB Design experience with a significant portion involving analog and mixed-signal PCB design, and interfacing PCB Fab houses to improve manufacturability.
- Working knowledge in logical net listings, schematics usage, electrical and routing rules creation, signal and power integrity optimization
- good knowledge of EMI/EMC handling
- good knowledge of ESD
- Experience in designs utilizing blind, buried, and micro vias would be advantageous.
- Scripting and experience in Skill scripts, Python, or any other scripting language will be advantageous
- RF backplane, electrical package design/routing experiences, related experience in a robotics or automotive testing environment, and ATE industry are advantages
