Key Tasks
- Provide technical expertise for installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of electrical equipment and instrumentation to ensure minimal downtime and optimal performance of manufacturing equipment’s
- Develop and implement calibration program for instruments, sensors, and control devices to maintain accuracy and precision in measurements for manufacturing and quality control process. Ensure that all calibrated instruments meet regulatory standards and compliance requirements
- Maintain accurate and detailed calibration records and documentation of electrical and instrumentation systems, including schematics, drawings, and procedures, for compliance and troubleshooting purposes
- Program and troubleshoot Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) to control and automate various processes within the manufacturing facility
- Promptly investigate equipment-related deviations and safety issues by using appropriate problem-solving tools and provide efficient preventive and corrective measures
- Initiate change management, provide impact assessments and carrying out electrical and instrumentation systems. This includes managing project schedules, resource plans, coordinating with vendors, and handling material management
- Collaborate with validation teams to support equipment qualification and validation activities, ensuring calibrated instruments meet required performance specifications
- Identify opportunities to enhance energy efficiency in electrical systems, supporting sustainable practices within the manufacturing facility
- Perform or participate in HAZOP/Risk assessment to actively identify and implement mitigation actions for engineering and maintenance activities
- Participate in regulatory audits and ensure compliance with regulations and standards in engineering and maintenance areas
- Create Standard operating procedures and Provide training to personnel on handling of equipment’s and performing Calibration and Maintenance tasks
Education and Experience Requirements
- A bachelor’s Degree in Electrical/ Electronics/ Instrumentation/ Control engineering or relevant fields
- More than 10 years of experience with Electrical & Instrumentation discipline knowledge together with hands-on working experience in biopharmaceutical manufacturing
- GMP expertise and good understanding of working in regulated environment
- Proficiency in troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining highly automated equipment’s and systems
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities effectively and work at the start-up environment
- communication skills and ability to effectively collaborate in dynamic, cross functional matrix environment
- problem-solving skills and preferably with good proven knowledge in lean sigma methodology
