- Configure and install various networking devices and services (e.g., routers, switches, firewalls, wireless AP and controller, load balancer, RADIUS server and VPN)
- Perform configuration updates, such as modifying configurations, signature definitions, or implementing new policies on various network security tools, as directed
- Assist with daily operating procedures and administration for assigned elements.
- Identify, diagnose, and resolve information security issues
- Perform network hardware maintenance and system upgrades including service packs, patches, hotfixes, and security configurations
- Coordinate, implement fixes (patches, configuration changes, etc) for discovered issues
- Perform proactive maintenance, upgrades, and enhancements to our customers
- Develop, execute and maintain security system fault management support procedures for assigned systems.
- Liaise with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution
- Reflect and visualize the network and security strategy and status to our managed customer
- Implement security tools, policies and procedures in conjunction with the network and security team
- Ensure timely proactive identification and reporting of security gaps and vulnerabilities to the critical business information, systems and network infrastructure.
- Primary focus of the project would be focusing on the replacement of the network equipmnet in the yard sites located at Tanjong Pagar and Pasir Panjang.
- Engineer will not be required to be at the yard daily, but he/she will need to travel to Pasir Panjang frequently.
Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Information Technology, Engineering or related field.
- Engineer must be able to have some knowledge in IT Service Management (ITSM).
- Be equipped with networking technologies such as OSPF, VRF and DWDN.
- Engineer must be physically fit, trained and experienced with outdoor environment.
- Network installations and deployment are usually carried out in harsh outdoor environment which required working in height.
- Experience in implementing & administrating network devices (Switches, Routers, Firewalls, WLC, WAF, Load balancers, Cable patching, Racks)
- Knowledge on VOIP & voice gateway (Cisco, Avaya & Microsoft Teams)
- Exposure to firewalls/IPS/IDS/Proxy/Monitoring tools
- CCNA | CCNP certification required
- Knowledge on cloud & network automation will be an added advantage
- Good communication skills.
- Willing to learn and work in a team.
- Open to work on rotating shift.
