The Happiest Clam is an international seafood distributor that is focused on dive-harvested sustainable fisheries. We strive to serve our customers with live, fresh, frozen and always delicious seafood that is also good for the environment.
Our leadership team brings a combined 100 years of experience in dive fisheries and executive sales.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Work directly with the executives of the company.
- Be a key member of a tight-knit, high-performance business development team responsible for pitching and winning new business.
- Daily levels of proactive outreach activity presenting opportunities such as outside sales in the different neighborhoods of Singapore.
- Owning and maintaining a consistent pipeline, to meet and exceed monthly sales targets.
- Drafting outreach templates and proposals to convert pipelines into sales.
- Maintaining records to provide transparency on all sales activities via the CRM.
- Passionately representing The Happiest Clam and resolving customer objections.
- Directing outside sales and sales associates activities.
- Coordinating daily meetings, sales routes, and deliveries.
- Onboarding new customers and maintaining relationships with existing clients.
- Work closely with the president on business development strategy.
- Lead and train new hires on sales objectives and methods.
Skills You’ll Need
- You’ll be a strong communicator whether by phone, email or in person with an ability to build rapport quickly.
- Be goal driven with a strong drive to achieve the objectives you set.
- A strong interest in the seafood and hospitality industry.
- Closing sales: getting buy-in and agreement from potential customers.
- Experience and confidence pitching things you’re passionate about.
- Experience with technology and capturing your activity in a CRM is not necessary, but a plus.
- Perseverance and grit – you’re a hustler, and you’re not afraid of rejection.
- Top-notch people skills – you have bags of emotional intelligence and can persuade even the toughest of prospects.
