Job Description
• The researcher will be resolving the operating challenges in low-inertia power grids consisting of inverter-based generations.
• The scope include the protection and control strategies for wind and solar generations under grid disturbances.
• Designs will need to be validated using numerical simulations and hardware experimentation.
• Applicants with experience and expertise in control theory, power electronics, and power systems are preferred.
• The nature of the work will be mainly software-based, and experimental tasks will be dealing with coding of DSP/FPGA. Developed solutions are expected to be communicated to scientific journals.
Qualifications
• Bachelor degree in electrical engineering or related fields.
• Expert in using power engineering software such as PSCAD, RSCAD, PowerFactory, etc.
• Open to Fixed Term Contract
