Autumn Compass is an algorithmic trading firm operating on financial markets across Asia Pacific founded from Sydney in 2015. We combine the disciplines of software engineering, data science and economic theory to develop advanced trading strategies.
We are very excited to launch our first overseas office in Singapore to be headed by one of our founders of Autumn Compass Australia. We are looking for 2-3 talented individuals to build our initial ranks in Singapore for 2024. Successful applicants will work alongside team members based in Australia, joining our cryptocurrency trading division with an established and successful track record.
As a Junior Cryptocurrency Trading Software Engineer, you will be a part of a specialised team engaged in executing proprietary trading strategies that interact with both on-chain and off-chain liquidity platforms in the cryptocurrency space.
Salary: $4500-$6000 SGD / month + CPF + Performance-based bonus
What you will do:
- Develop high-performance real-time server applications in Go and C++, interacting with Exchange APIs and decentralised P2P networks to run trading algorithms and to submit orders.
- Develop Python systems built for collecting trade and market data.
- Employ evidence-driven statistical methods to refine strategies and focus areas for further development.
- Analyse 3rd-party APIs and protocols code to gain a deep understanding of their inner workings, then develop software to capitalise on this knowledge to maximise success.
- Collaborate with other highly motivated engineers and analysts who will provide you with hands-on training and support. No prior financial or algorithmic trading experience required.
What you bring:
- Computer Science, Software Engineering or equivalent university degree.
- Solid understanding and ability to program in Python and either Go or C++, and a desire for implementing high-performance, low-latency systems.
- Curiosity to work with new technologies, protocols and networks, and a desire to build custom solutions that maximise results.
- Prior experience with Blockchain protocols, peer-to-peer networking, or algorithmic trading is desirable but not essential.
