The Senior Communications Manager is responsible to support a MNC Bank corporate communications. The Job Scope and Responsibilities include:
Overall Management:
- Execute strategic communication programs for both internal and external audiences.
- Support the Singapore communications team across media relations, social media, issues management, customer and staff events, community relations, and internal staff communications and campaigns.
- Conduct research and collate information for drafting speeches and memos for senior leaders.
- Coordinate and manage administrative tasks and logistics for senior visits, CCO town halls, volunteer activities, Global Community Day initiatives, and global brand campaign activations.
Governance and Controls:
- Manage and support all governance processes including approvals for U.S. government officials at events and audit activities.
- Maintain and update the records management system and quarterly reporting for the team, fulfilling ad hoc reporting requirements from regulators or government agencies.
- Monitor and manage budgets aligned with specific briefs.
External Communications:
- Perform regular media monitoring and analysis; manage vendors as needed.
- Identify speaking opportunities and platforms to elevate senior management and assist them in their communications strategies.
- Liaise with government and industry partners as necessary for business leaders' speaking engagements.
Internal Communications:
- Implement internal communication plans to ensure key messages are effectively delivered to staff.
- Maintain the Singapore intranet pages, assist in creating internal memos and quarterly newsletters.
- Compile and update business information, presentations, and fact sheets.
- Develop materials such as talking points and PowerPoints to support internal communication strategies.
- Utilize internal platforms to disseminate key messages efficiently.
Customer and Staff Events:
- Lead, plan, and execute both internal and external events.
- Oversee planning, creative designs, written materials, logistics, and on-site management for each event.
- Prepare briefing documents for senior management.
- Collaborate with partners and vendors to successfully execute events.
Community Relations:
- Provide strategic input and oversee coordination for selected internal and external projects.
- Manage creative development, production, content creation, and written materials.
Skills and Knowledge Required:
- 6-8 years of experience in an MNC’s communications department, Public Relations agency, or journalism.
- Fluent in English with outstanding written communication skills.
- Familiarity with traditional and social media platforms and ability to leverage them effectively.
- Strong project management abilities.
- Experience in banking or financial services is advantageous.
- Relevant degree or diploma.
