Position Summary: The Director Program Management is fully accountable for the successful performance of projects as measured by financial performance (Gross Profit and timely customer payments), scheduled on time delivery, agreed quality standards and customer for all projects. The role provides leadership and direction for all aspects of the programs. In addition, the job incumbent will be collaborating across all operational departments at Singapore’s site and matrixed regional/global support functions to ensure that the ONE JET Strategy set forth for Singapore is being executed.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinates Business Jets or Large Aircraft project planning, resourcing, staffing, supply and subcontract management, progress reporting, troubleshooting and people management through Singapore Site Operations
- Ensures project results meet customer requirements regarding technical quality, reliability, schedule, and cost
- Accountable for the customers relationship and satisfaction for all Business Jets or Airbus & Boeing projects
- Proactively monitors program performance, escalates through early warning system any schedule changes, cost adjustments/budget deviations or resource additions by using milestones and Earned Value Management methods.
- Plans, monitors and manages all projects from initiation through completion
- Business Jets or Airbus & Boeing Owner of the relationship with the OEMs in regard to service center network/agreement
- Business Jets or Airbus & Boeing Drives a continuous improvement and quality culture and ensures that employees collaborate effectively across the various Singapore functional teams, regional as well global support functions on streamlining processes, systems, tools and delivering to customers
- Represents Jet Aviation as one company internally and externally with industry groups, regulatory bodies and the General Dynamics network.
- Drives a culture of trust, honesty, alignment, transparency, and performance throughout the region in line with JET VALUES
- Ensures compliance with applicable laws, aviation regulations, and applicable GD and Jet Aviation policies.
- Conduct business ethically according to GD Blue Book regulations, and applicable GD and Jet Aviation policies.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in business or related professional field from an accredited university
- At least 10 years of demonstrated success managing multiple large, complex projects/programs in the business aviation industry or similar capacity
- Strong leadership in a matrix environment
- Ability to create vision and strategy that inspires innovative practices and transforms legacy mindsets
- Project Management Certification (PMP)
- In-depth knowledge and understanding of own and other disciplines within Program Management
- Advanced industry and competitor landscape knowledge, including their strategic drivers
- Profound knowledge of economic drivers and their implications and change management on company performance
- Profound experience in KPI driven management of a global function or major region including contributing and influencing setting of the respective functional strategy
- Advanced communication and negotiation skills to influence internal and external stakeholders with great latitude on outcomes
- Result driven and able to execute with highest personal accountability
- Excellent Stakeholder Management (internal, customers and OEM) – strong exposure and ability to work with multiple stakeholders and varied mixed level positions
- Continuous improvement / Six Sigma / Lean background a plus
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Computer literate (MS Office, SAP, CMP, CAMP an advantage)
- Fluent in English
