Key Appointment:
- Oversight of all Rates & Credit instruments managed by the Investment Office (includes Rates derivatives and collateral)
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyse and recommend Rates and Credit instruments in line with the requirements of the Investment Policy (as asset class subject matter expert) and/or matching adjustment program.
- Credit Research and Selection: Develop the Investment Office credit research and overall execution capabilities. Analyze creditworthiness of financial counterparties.
- Fixed Income external manager due diligence and regular monitoring.
- Investment Portfolio Management:Ownership and oversight over a book of rates and credit instruments, in line with the requirements of the Investment Policy and the overall objective of maximizing risk-adjusted return and under various constraints (capital, sustainability, etc.)
- Manage the market/credit risks of the investment portfolio, primarily with regards to Rates and Credit instruments.
- Manage and execute rates and credit derivatives and collateral management
- Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations relating to the above functional activities.
Key Decisions within the Role:
- Selection and execution of credit and rates instruments for management of investment portfolios, balancing return against economic risk, capital and sustainability.
- Selection of fixed income external managers
- Financial authorization limits as per the Delegation of Authority approved by the Board.
Team
- Direct accountability for all fixed income portfolios within the PAR and Non-PAR funds
- Indirect accountability for cost optimization of the Investment Office
Requirements:
Experience
- End-to-end Investment management (active & passive) across Rates and Credit instruments; including analysis and selection of external fund managers; Banking or Asset Management experience required
- Trading execution experience for Rates and Credit instruments (Aladdin platform preferred)
- Familiarity with fixed income and credt derivatives (e.g. interest rate swaps, and CDS).
- Management of trading team preferred; no team management experience is acceptable
Edcuation
- Academic: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, e.g. in Finance
- Professional Certification(s): CFA / CAIA / FRM (preferred)
