Job Description:
Our lab is interested in the biological roles and regulatory mechanisms of the MAPK and mTOR pathway in gut, lung and related mucosal immune organs, focuses on 1) the molecular mechanisms of dynamic interaction between mesenchymal stromal cells and immune cells in inflammatory bowel diseases and colorectal cancer; 2) the mechanisms of maintenance of immunological memory and pulmonary inflammation in response to respiratory viral infection; 3) the roles of mTOR pathway in nutrient sensing, cellular metabolism, functional maintenance and senescence of immune cells; 4) the roles of MAPK pathway in immune cell and blood vessel function/development; 5) development of new immune cell engineering strategies for solid tumor therapy.
The applicants who are interested in leading one of the five research projects listed above and have related research experience will be preferred.
The successful applicants will have the opportunity to conduct independent research, collaborate actively with multiple research groups and to develop technologies.
Job Requirements:
1) A Ph.D degree in immunology, molecular biology, cell biology, synthetic biology, bioinformatics or related fields.
2) Passion for research, critical thinking and team spirt.
3) Strong communication skills (both written and verbal), good English writing skills for writing reports and publications.
