We are seeking a candidate who can drive sales, provide excellent customer service, and contribute to the overall success and growth of our store. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of exceeding sales targets, a deep understanding of retail operations, and a genuine enthusiasm for engaging with customers. We aim to hire someone who can effectively promote our products, build long-term relationships with customers, and enhance the overall shopping experience in our store.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Sales and Customer Service:
· Greet customers and provide a welcoming atmosphere.
· Assist customers in selecting and purchasing collectible cards, offering expert advice and product knowledge.
· Handle sales transactions, including cash, credit, and debit card payments.
· Address customer inquiries, concerns, and complaints promptly and professionally.
2. Product Knowledge and Merchandising:
· Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of the latest trends and releases in the card collecting industry.
· Organize and display products to maximize sales and create an engaging shopping experience.
· Monitor inventory levels and assist in stock management, including restocking shelves and conducting inventory checks.
3. Sales Strategies and Targets:
· Achieve and exceed individual and store sales targets.
· Implement sales strategies and promotions to drive revenue growth.
· Identify and capitalize on sales opportunities, including upselling and cross-selling.
4. Store Operations:
· Ensure the store is clean, organized, and visually appealing.
· Assist in opening and closing procedures, including securing the store.
· Follow company policies and procedures, including safety and security measures.
5. Customer Engagement:
· Build and maintain strong customer relationships to encourage repeat business.
· Engage with the card collecting community, including participating in events, trade shows, and social media activities.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in retail sales, preferably in a card collectible or hobby shop.
- Passion for collectible cards and a strong understanding of the card collecting community.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Basic math skills for handling transactions.
- Familiarity with point-of-sale (POS) systems and inventory management software is a plus.
Other Requirements
- Flexibility to work weekends, public holiday and shift work.
- Flexibility to work at odd working hours (1pm to 12am)
