Responsibilities:
- Review PIPING deliverables (piping specification, valve specification, stress analysis);
- Review PIPING related information shown in MARINE deliverables (like P&ID);
- Review technical agreement with vendor and yard to ensure selected supplier is qualified and meet project requirements.
- Assist the BUILDER in the preparation of the PIPING deliverables via direct interface with BUILDER's engineers;
- Review vendor documents, coordinate with vendors, third party consultants, etc. to ensure timely review of documents and that comments are made with required quality level;
- Address piping construction issues, prepare technical query reply. Seek clarification or guidance as soon as difficulties arise; recommend alternative solutions;
- Identify areas requiring more detailed instructions and clarify understanding/expectation as necessary with Discipline Lead; ensure no surprises;
- Complete tasks assigned by piping engineer leader or engineering project manager.
Requirement:
- Degree in related engineering discipline
- Minimum 12 years of experience in same industry
- Familiar with international standards and Classification Society Rules (ABS/BV preferred);
- Familiar with the software Navisworks, CAESAR II. AVEVA MARINE or PDMS will be better.
- Experience in the area of material selection for piping components.
