Scope of Services
1. To design and plan a developmentally appropriate student development/training programme (face-to-face or via electronic means) in consultation with the teacher-in-charge after the award.
2. To prepare the band for competitions, performances and school functions.
3. To provide artistic direction and advice on all band related matters (eg, procurement of musical scores, instruments and accessories, and instrument repair).
5. To schedule extra training days / sessions when required by the school to prepare for major events.
6. To assist teacher-in-charge in the selection of team members (e.g. DSA application).
7. To provide opportunities for exposure and performance outside school e.g. musical exchanges with other bands.
8. To ensure discipline of team members during practices, rehearsals and competitions.
Qualifications
The instructor should preferably possess professional and other relevant qualifications pertaining to Concert Band. (Please submit relevant qualifications)
1.. The instructor should preferably be experienced in Concert Band Training and preparing students for performances / competitions.
2. Preferably professional or other relevant qualifications in music and/or conducting, preferably with notable accomplishments in conducting and instruction.
3. Proficient competence in playing at least 1 concert band instrument.
Experience
All Instructors should be competent to handle the tasks and responsibilities assigned. All Instructors should have preferably 3 years of coaching experience in Concert Band.
