Responsibilities:
- Building (Design and implementation) Postgres server(PostgreSQL 10.15 and PostgreSQL 14) of high availability and quality depending on Project Requirement.
- Building (Design and implementation) RDBMS systems (Oracle 19c) of high availability and quality depending on Project Requirement.
- Provide best practice guidance to the development team with regard to database design and usage;
- Monitor database performance, implement changes and apply new patches and versions as per Patch Management Cycle.
- Database Administration backup/recovery (Exports, Imports, Data pump, RMAN) methodologies and procedures on a Linux
- Develop automation technologies to expedite the process of loading data into the end target;
- Develop ETL strategies for integrating data from multiple sources in data warehouses;
- Design and develop relational databases;
- Develop appropriate corrective actions to resolve production data issues;
- Design database schema to meet new enhancement requirements;
- Optimize database performance;
- Develop ETL strategies for integrating or migrating data from multiple sources.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering or related
- Demonstrated experience writing complex stored procedures and queries;
- 7 to 15 years of experience in PostgreSQL and as a DBA
- Proven experience troubleshooting and solving complex databases schemas/warehouses;
- Understanding and experience of Software Development LIfe Cycle;
- Familiar Work in 24 X 7 environments.
- Hands on experience on cloning of databases.
- Knowledge in writing shell scripts and perl scripts.
- Strong analytical and communication skills;
- Bachelor’s degree preferred;
- Experience in database development, administration and management;
- Proven experience using ETL for data integration;
- Proven experience with integration from oracle to postgres;
- Proven experience with intregration from oracle to postgres.
