We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced PR & Communications Manager with a background in the tech industry and substantial experience in Southeast Asia. The ideal candidate will have established contacts within tech newsletters, media outlets, and other relevant channels in the region. This role will be responsible for crafting and executing comprehensive PR strategies to enhance our brand image, manage media relations, and drive engagement across various platforms.
Responsibilities:
1. Corporate Website Revamp:
- Oversee the redesign and development of the corporate website to ensure it aligns with the company’s brand, mission, and goals.
- Collaborate with web designers, developers, and content creators to enhance user experience and engagement.
- Regularly update website content to reflect the latest company news, products, and services.
2. Press Releases:
- Write and distribute press releases to announce new products, company milestones, events, and other significant updates.
- Build and maintain relationships with journalists, editors, and media outlets to ensure wide coverage, particularly within Southeast Asia.
- Monitor and analyse media coverage to gauge the effectiveness of press releases.
3. Media and Publicity:
- Develop and implement strategies to increase the company’s exposure in press and media publications.
- Coordinate with marketing and sales teams to create compelling stories and content for media distribution.
- Manage media inquiries and interview requests.
4. Content Creation and Management:
- Create high-quality content for various communication channels, including blogs, social media, newsletters, and more.
- Ensure all content is consistent with the company’s voice and brand guidelines.
- Monitor and respond to public and media comments about the company on social platforms.
5. Public Relations Strategy:
- Develop and execute comprehensive public relations strategies that support the company’s business objectives.
- Plan and manage public relations campaigns, including media events, product launches, and press conferences.
- Measure the effectiveness of PR campaigns through metrics and analytics.
6. Media Monitoring and Reporting:
- Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and media reports to identify opportunities for publicity.
- Prepare reports on media coverage and PR campaign performance to present to senior management.
- Provide recommendations for improving media strategies based on data and insights.
7. Crisis Management:
- Develop and implement crisis communication plans to handle potential negative publicity.
- Act as the company’s spokesperson during crises, ensuring clear and effective communication.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Communications, Marketing, or a related field.
- Proven experience in public relations, media relations, or communications, preferably within the tech industry and Southeast Asia.
- Strong writing, editing, and content creation skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
- Familiarity with digital marketing and social media platforms.
- Experience with media monitoring and PR analytics tools.
- Creative thinker with a strategic mindset.
- Prior experience in AI and Fintech industries would be an added advantage.
