About the Team
The Traffic Infrastructure Global Engineering (TIGE) team at ByteDance operates a large network of POPs around the world that we use to accelerate site traffic and cache CDN content, and we own all layer 4 and layer 7 traffic management for Tiktok Edge. By joining us, you can learn how to build content delivery networks and Edge Computing Platform within Tiktok's Edge.
To better support Tiktok, the TIGE team is seeking experienced software engineers who can help improve our Kubernetes based Cloud Native Traffic Platform. The traffic platform balances, manages and processes Tiktok application traffic across all Tiktok's edge clusters. Also, the traffic platform contains varied network services in order to orchestrate the delivery of bits from our servers to your phone.
Responsibilities:
1. Be responsible for the technical research and development of ByteDance's traffic access gateway, covering a wide range of business scenarios and challenging billion-level high concurrency and cutting-edge technologies.
2. Be responsible for the architecture design and research and development of ByteDance's long connection and message push gateway.
3. Be responsible for the architecture design and research and development of ByteDance's load balancing, API gateway, traffic proxy, and security gateway.
Minimum Qualifications:
1. Have a bachelor's degree or above
2. Have a good technical vision and architectural ability, and be able to lead the team to formulate technical plans, upgrade the architecture, and overcome difficulties.
3. Have good communication and collaboration skills, business operation awareness, and have the mentality and ability to create industry-leading gateways and platforms.
4. Proficiently master one or more programming languages such as C/C++/Golang/Rust.
Preferred Qualifications:
1. Possess rich experience in one of the fields such as access gateway/message gateway/cloud network/CDN platform/transmission acceleration platform.
