Job Description
Our client, within the Hospitality & Tourism industry, valued at over $2 billion USD in valuation, is currently seeking a Manager, Technical Accounting.
Functioning as an independent contributor, the Manager, Technical Accounting will be responsible for writing detailed guides on complex accounting issues, particularly focusing on compliance with IFRS 15 (Revenue from Contracts with Customers) and IFRS 16 (Leases), ensuring these standards are properly implemented. It includes working with external stakeholders to assess technically complex accounting matters, creating and standardizing financial rules across the company, and discussing key financial topics with auditors. The role also includes explaining complex financial topics in simple terms for non-experts and training finance teams on accounting principles and updates, especially related to IFRS standards

REQUIREMENTS:
- Possess at least a Degree in Accountancy or equivalent.
- Chartered Accountant (CA)/ CPA is a strong advantage
- At least 8 year(s) of working experience with 2 years in a technical accounting role
- Strong writing skills to create e-learning modules for internal accounting teams across the organisation
- Candidates with prior working experience in Big 4 Audit Firms will be preferred
- Strong understanding of IFRS, US GAAP, SEC
