KEYACCOUNTABILITIES
The successful candidate will join a small, cohesive, and high-performing ASEAN Growth Equity focus team that is part of a larger Growth Equities team. The candidate must demonstrate a strong fit with the team, with the ability to embrace the team's investment process.
This is an important role with a number of key responsibilities, including:
- Contribute new investment ideas with in-depth analysis of potential candidates. This will include gaining a detailed understanding of the drivers of returns and valuations for the business in question and financial analysis based on detailed financial modelling.
- Present company and industry analysis to the broader team including our regional counterparts, and clearly articulate and debate the key drivers of the business and valuation.
- Actively engage in debates and discussions of stock and portfolio ideas from other team members.
- Working with members of other focus teams to leverage expertise and work across the equity platform.
- Build network of contacts across sectors/geographies to facilitate channel checks and new ideas generation.
- Support the marketing effort as necessary.
EXPERIENCE / QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for the following attributes:
- Prior experience in covering Asean companies including mid and small caps, especially those in Malaysia, Indonesia and Vietnam.
- Driven, meticulous and detail oriented.
- Strong communication skills in writing and presentation.
- Team player who is open to constructive feedback and able to provide feedback to others.
- Enterprising and constantly on the lookout for new ideas and investment opportunities.
We are looking for the following experience:
- Around 5-7 years’ experience as an equity analyst with a demonstrable level of achievement.
- Strong and appropriate academic qualifications.
- CFA Charter holder would be an advantage.
