Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and ambitious Chef de Partie to join our dynamic kitchen team. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing a specific section of the kitchen, preparing high-quality dishes and ensuring smooth kitchen operations. You should have a passion for cooking, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work well under pressure.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook high-quality dishes according to menu specifications
- Assist in the development of menu items
- Ensure all food preparation meets food safety and hygiene standards
- Maintain kitchen equipment and utensils in good condition
- Train and mentor junior kitchen staff
- Monitor stock levels and place orders as needed
- Collaborate with the sous chef and head chef on menu planning and execution
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Chef de Partie or line cook in a high-volume kitchen
- Culinary degree preferred
- Strong knowledge of culinary techniques and practices
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Work with kitchen staff to prepare special menus, keep inventory, and track inventory
- Keep work areas clean and hygienic
- Attention to detail and creativity
- Knowledge of food safety regulations
- Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
