Reporting to Operations Specialist, this position will provide support for production manufacturing process to ensure safe and reliable production processes for the Production plant. The candidate will also work with various stakeholders to improve operational efficiency for the plant and enhance plant competitiveness.
Responsibilities
- Support direct manufacturing process operations through monitoring plant operating conditions, coordinating plant troubleshooting and conducting daily morning meetings
- Provide work and operating instructions to Production shift team and ensure jobs are executed according to plan
- Coordinate with Engineering team on plant maintenance works and issue site work instructions for maintenance works to ensure safe operations for manufacturing process and equipment
- Monitor plant performance and provide timely action to maintain stable production
- Prepare production plan and work closely with relevant stakeholders to ensure production output is met
- Handle shutdown maintenance related duties such as managing site work and documentation and conducting daily progress meetings
- Participate in Risk Assessment activities and identify potential areas to minimize safety risks in the plant area
- Collaborate with Engineering and Technical teams to implement new methods and procedures to ensure plant operational efficiency
- Support investigation for production-related quality or environmental troubles when required
- Maintain proper documentation and filing of records as per IMS requirement and participate in external and internal audits
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering or related discipline with at least 1 year of relevant experience
- Diploma in Chemical Engineering or related discipline with more than 5 years of relevant experience
- Entry level candidates without experience can be considered
- Prior experience in managing Distributed Control System and site work experience in a process plant will be advantageous
- Knowledge in HAZOP and Risk Assessment will be advantageous
- Self-driven, independent and resourceful
- Effective team player with good communication and presentation skills
- Good analytical thinking and problem solving skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
- Willing to work on Jurong Island
- Able to perform overtime work if required
