The global Data Management function of our client is based in Europe.
The APAC Banking Data Management team currently comprises two staff members based in Singapore, reporting to the Head of Non-Financial Risk Asia. As part of this dynamic team, you will work on data initiatives with the mission of enhancing the value and utility of data, ensuring proactive and consistent adherence to data management policies and standards.
Role Overview:
This role is neither technical nor operational and does not come with a set SOP. Instead, it is an exploratory data risk-related assignment that requires a problem-solving and solution-oriented approach.
Key Responsibilities:
- Adhere to the data management roadmap and improve data management processes throughout the end-to-end lifecycle to ensure data integrity and quality.
- Facilitate regular data governance workgroup meetings.
- Engage with data owners, data stewards, and data custodians in data governance workgroups to drive action items and resolve data issues.
- Collaborate closely with the Data Management Lead, Business Leads, Data Protection Office, Data Architect, and Data Engineer to ensure solutions are continually improved and aligned with business processes.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Must have 3-5 years of proven experience in implementing data governance best practices.
- Strong experience in adhering to data management roadmaps and improving data management processes to ensure data integrity and quality.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and presentation skills.
- Confidence in making informed decisions.
- A strong team player with excellent interpersonal skills, able to work well with others.
- High proficiency in spoken and written English.
- Wholesale Banking experience is a significant plus.
