NETWORK ENGINEER (L2 – L3)

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Administering the Network Equipment (Level 1 – Level 2) including followings (but not limited to) followings:
- Checking the logs & network links on daily basis (to ensure no abnormalities),
- Troubleshooting and managing incidents to resolve Network Issues,
- Performing routine backup of Network configuration (for network equipment) including firewall rules,
- Fine-tuning of Network & System parameters,
- Installation, Maintenance, Troubleshooting, Upgrading & Documentation of firmware, hardware and software used,
- Managing Firewall rule settings & security configurations,
- Managing IP Addresses & assignment schemes,
- Patching & re-patching of cables, network points and other network equipment,
- Applying software & security patches,
- Labelling of Cables, patch panels, racks & equipment,
- Performing NAC ClearPass administration processes
- Enforce physical access controls (to the network room & equipment)
- Other relevant duties as assigned
REQUIREMENTS:
- Higher NITEC (or Higher) in IT or related education
- Required to have minimum 2 – 3 years (or longer) technical hands-on working experiences as a Network Engineer/ Administrator (L1 – L3) in:
- Configuring & troubleshooting with Firewalls, Router & Switches, Intrusion Detection/ Protection Systems, LAN/ WAN implementations, etc.
- Proficient in following areas (L1 – L3):
- Network technologies and protocols
- Network configuration, utilization and performance monitoring
- Network fine-tunings, incident troubleshooting, interpretations of statistics and traffic pattern
- Firewall rules configuration and security setting and
- IDS/ IPS, CDN implementation and IPv6.
- Advantageous to have (but not a must have) any of the following certifications:
- Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)
- Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP)
- Cisco Certified Network Engineer (CCNE)
- Comfortable to commit onsite (no WFH) to rotating working shifts [Monday – Friday (7.30 AM – 4.30 PM OR 9 AM – 6 PM OR 10.30 AM – 7.30 PM)]
