A Corp Lab in NTU is looking for a Senior Research Scientist to manage the “Sustainable Living” Program. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in coordinating efforts between the product, operation, and research teams involved in the project. This position requires strong leadership and management skills, as well as a solid foundation in economic research methodologies. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of delivering high-quality academic research, reports and insights that drive business success. This position requires industry experience in the tech sector, as well as a strong understanding and genuine interest in environmental, social, and governance (ESG) issues and advancing AI technologies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate closely with NTU research teams and business teams in Taobao&Tmall, Lazada, etc. to design and execute economic research projects that address the needs and motivations of green consumers and drive strategic initiatives in the tech industry.
- Lead and oversee a team of economists and analysts, providing guidance to ensure the successful delivery of projects on time and within budget.
- Conduct high-quality and solid research towards the academic goals of ANGEL.
- Communicate research findings and recommendations effectively to partners and stakeholders through reports, presentations, and meetings.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external partners to support research objectives.
- Stay current on economic trends, theories, and methodologies to inform research activities and drive continuous improvement.
Job Requirements:
- PhD in Economics or a related field with a strong emphasis on both theoretical quantitative research methods. A minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in tech industry, preferably within a research setting.
- Proven skills in economic research, with a track record of delivering high-quality reports and insights.
- Demonstrated leadership and management skills, with the ability to lead and inspire a team of economists and analysts.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex economic concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Experience working cross-functionally with product, operation, and research teams is highly desirable.
