Responsibilities:
- Oversee the planning, execution, and completion of construction works for heavy industrial or treatment process plants.
- Manage field construction supervisors and plant and equipment supervisors to ensure effective coordination and execution of tasks.
- Plan and manage temporary works, ensuring all necessary safety and regulatory requirements are met.
- Ensure construction and equipment installation works are executed in accordance with contract specifications, engineering standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate with subcontractors to ensure effective communication and collaboration throughout the project lifecycle.
- Conduct regular site inspections and progress meetings to monitor project status, quality, and compliance with safety regulations.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate potential risks and issues that may impact project delivery.
- Implement best practices and continuous improvement strategies in construction management to enhance efficiency and outcomes.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- Professional Engineer (PE) certification recognized by the Professional Engineers Board Singapore.
- Minimum of 10 years of construction experience, with at least 5 years managing the construction of heavy industrial or treatment process plant projects, or accreditation as an Accredited Construction Professional B under CPAS.
- Demonstrated experience in planning and executing complex construction projects.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations.
- Excellent project management skills, including the ability to handle multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
- Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make informed decisions under pressure.
- Experience with construction projects in Singapore or similar regions.
- Familiarity with local construction codes and standards.
