We are seeking a skilled Cloud Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in cloud infrastructure, automation, and security. You will play a critical role in reviewing access rights, resolving vulnerabilities, providing consultancy, and ensuring the security and efficiency of our cloud environment.
Responsibilities:
- Access Management: Assist in reviewing access rights and account control in the cloud.
- Vulnerability Resolution: Review and resolve vulnerabilities reported from scans and/or GCC alerts.
- Consultancy: Provide consultancy to new projects onboarding AWS cloud services.
- Security Enhancement: Strengthen the security posture of existing cloud infrastructure and propose enhancements.
- Service Requests: Raise service requests to the BAU Operations Team for in-scope cloud-related tasks.
- AWS Support: Support and maintain AWS S3 Buckets and other AWS Storage services such as FSX.
- Anti-Virus/Malware: Support Trend Micro Cloud One Workload and Endpoint Security/AMHIPS as part of the Anti-Virus/Anti-Malware system.
- Audit Logging: Support and maintain ABLR Heavy Forwarder (CTS Services) as part of the Audit Logging requirements.
- DevOps Processes: Support the GCC Infrastructure using DevOps processes or tools such as Terraform or AWS CloudFormation.
- Compliance Activities: Support audit and security compliance activities.
- Collaboration: Work with the BAU team, System Engineers, Cloud Engineers, and DBA to support and maintain the GCC environment.
- Account Management: Support and maintain Central Account Management (CAM) servers (CTS Services) as part of the Audit requirements.
- Disaster Recovery: Support Disaster Recovery exercises.
- Cloud Operations: Apply technical knowledge, hands-on experience, and customer insights to operate and administrate a cloud infrastructure.
- Configuration Management: Ensure all configurations conform to high levels of performance, security, scalability, maintainability, and appropriate reusability and reliability upon deployment, aligning to design documentation specifications.
- Automation: Ability to codify or implement/deploy configurations with automation principles in new projects with proper documentation.
- Cloud Migrations: Participate in Cloud Migrations for VMs using tools.
- Client Engagement: Collaborate with team members to engage clients in operational meetings, discussions, process improvements, and contribute to optimizations for the client’s environment.
- Continuous Learning: Maintain technical skills, certifications, and knowledge of market trends and competitive insights; collaborate and share with the technical community specifically in the cloud space.
- Issue Resolution: Resolve issues with proper resolution/documentation and ensure SLAs are met.
Qualifications:
- Professional Experience: 2+ years of success in operational/administration and deployment/migration projects in a Cloud/BAU Environment.
- Problem Solving: Ability to solve customer problems through cloud technologies.
- Collaboration and Communication: Proven ability to provide solutions collaboratively, resolve conflicts, and ensure follow-through with proper follow-up and closure.
- Technical Expertise: Strong technical experience with cloud infrastructures, migrations, and technology management.
- Certifications:
- AWS Solution Architect Associate Certification (advantageous)
- AWS Cloud Practitioner Certification or Azure Certified Administrator or Fundamentals (required)
- System Knowledge: Experience in Windows server OS, Unix/Linux OS, and VM environments.
- Cloud Knowledge: Hands-on experience with AWS and working knowledge of VPN, firewall appliances, and Cisco routers/switches.
- Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills to convey technical ideas to both technical and non-technical audiences and contribute within a team environment.
- Proactivity: Pro-active, dynamic, and with good analytical/conceptual thinking.
