Responsibilities:
- Facilitate the construction and assembly of mechanical systems and components.
- Conduct rigorous testing and analysis of mechanical systems to ensure functionality.
- Diagnose and resolve equipment failures through effective troubleshooting techniques.
- Identify and develop innovative solutions to emerging engineering challenges.
- Evaluate the overall performance, reliability, and safety of final products according to specified requirements.
- Modify and refine designs to meet project requirements and eliminate malfunctions.
- Utilize computer-assisted design (CAD) or engineering software and equipment to perform a variety of engineering tasks.
- Prepare technical drawings, specifications, and topographical maps to ensure accurate installation and operation of systems.
- Coordinate installation, manufacturing, construction, maintenance, and testing activities to ensure compliance with project specifications, codes, and customer requirements.
- Draft Method of Statements (MOS) and other documentation such as Requests for Information (RFI) as needed.
- Compile comprehensive weekly and monthly progress reports on job completion and project advancement.
- Ensure all engineering plans and activities comply with governmental health, safety regulations, trade requirements, and codes of practice.
- Provide leadership and guidance to teams of contractors to facilitate efficient project execution.
- Develop work schedules, plan work programs in advance, conduct presentations, and monitor task progress.
- Undertake additional ad-hoc duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Requirements
- Possess excellent interpersonal skills and communication skills and a leader to influence.
- Efficient, Good Analytical Skills and Able to work independently.
- Degree/Master in Mechanical engineering or similar or equivalent, recognized universities under the BCA.
- At least 2-3 years of Experience in a marine construction/construction company is favourable.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, MS Project and AutoCad software.
- Able to start work immediately or short notice.
