Responsibilities
- Implement education strategies to reach out to students, educators and schools as well as the general public.
- Develop educational resources including curriculum materials, activity sheets, training manuals etc.
- Conceptualise and implement education and outreach programmes to promote SCCC’s permanent, special and travelling exhibitions as well as to showcase Singapore Chinese culture.
- Establish networks and relationships with key stakeholders in the local arts & cultural community, clan associations, schools, other ethnic communities etc.
- Build, cultivate and train a pool of dedicated and competent volunteers for SCCC’s exhibitions and programmes.
- Work closely with various SCCC’s teams to organise education and outreach programmes and activities; and
- Perform any other duties as assigned by SCCC senior management.
Requirements
- Background in Education, Arts & Social Sciences, Business, Communications, Chinese Studies, or any other relevant discipline.
- A knowledge of current curriculum requirements would be an advantage.
- At least two to three years of relevant working experience. Fresh graduates are welcome.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrates ability to engage and manage different stakeholders and partners.
- Strong conceptual & analytical thinking skills, high level of initiative, drive and resourcefulness.
- Able to work proactively, independently and as a team.
- Willing to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays.
- Effective communicator with good command of English and Mandarin (spoken and written); and
- Strong passion, interest and knowledge in Chinese history, arts and culture.
