Responsibilities
- Build and evolve upon our existing internal controls, financial systems and processes to ensure accuracy of financial reporting, integrity of corporate data, finance governance compliance and the safeguarding of assets.
- Accountability for all local statutory,nregulatory and internal compliance requirements (taxes, financial reporting, Solicitor account rules, financial controls and policies), accounting records and all financial processes.
- Work closely with the Group or regional teams leading on various issues including Transfer pricing, international mobility, partner tax and accounting issues, direct and indirect tax, etc.
- Assist in navigating regulatory landscape including staying on top of evolving IRS, SEC, and other rules and regulations.
- Develop strong relationships with auditors in the region and manage the statutory audit process for the Region, direct and participate in the preparation of all the workpapers for the audit on a timely basis including all memos for any relevant areas, ensuring financials are signed off on a timely basis.
- Support projects such as new office openings, new system implementations and other regional or firm initiatives with financial insight and analysis.
- Ad hoc projects as needed
Qualifications and Experience
- Minimum of 4 years of Big-4 firm experience
- Minimum of 3 years of hands-on global /regional accounting experience
- CPA or CA certification
- Good to have hands on experience with US GAAP and/or CN GAAP
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent self-management practices with a demonstrated ability to be self-directed and resourceful
- High proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Ability to maintain high performance under tight deadlines, including managing multiple projects simultaneously, with exceptional quality, organization, and attention to detail
- Working knowledge of Asia Pacific finance, tax and compliance regimes
