Job Responsibilities

This position reports directly to the Divisional Head and oversees the management of the therapeutic Group Home.


Duties (not limited to the following) include:

· Provide leadership to develop and maintain capability for the TGH to provide high quality of care to meet the needs of high-need children

· Provide leadership over the day to the day to day operations of the TGH, and ensure that the safety and welfare of the clients are taken care of

· Set and review targets and objectives of the TGH on a regular basis

· Develop and review standard operating procedures (SOP) in compliance with the Ministry and licensing guidelines

· Ensure that all staff are well trained and abide by the TGH’s philosophy, mission, objectives, and operating principles in carrying out their duties

· Ensure that staff resources are adequate and plan staff roster to promote efficient and effective service delivery

· Manage staff-staff and staff-client relationships, and mediate any issues that may come up

· Provide oversight on the progress of intervention and casework to ensure that they are provided to enable timely rehabilitation and progress towards permanency.

· Plan and manage the budget of the TGH, and follow proper accounting principles

· Provide regular updates to MSF on the progress of the clients, as well as operational where relevant


Requirements:

· Minimum degree (preferably in social work or psychology or equivalent qualification) with minimum 5-8 years of relevant working experience

· Demonstrates leadership qualities to lead and build capability of staff

· Strong ability to manage relationships and broker services with multiple stakeholders for TGH

· Vast experience in operational management of a cliential facility

· In-depth professional knowledge and understanding of children with high level of needs

· Alignment of personal values and philosophies to the treatment models for the TGH’s target group

· Demonstrates understanding of trauma, attachment and resilience theory, and child and adolescent development

· Good communication and interpersonal skills – able to relate easily to other people, particularly children, and to form positive working relationships

· Should have appropriate attributes, values and aptitude to manage this profile of clients such as but not limited to the following:

· Have strong emotional attributes and resilience

· Good physical and mental health to handle demanding work in a TGH

· Committed, strong moral standing and integrity

· Able to set clear, consistent and firm boundaries at work
