About the Role
The Department of Psychosocial Oncology at the National Cancer Centre Singapore (NCCS) provides psychosocial care to cancer patients and survivors and their families. The Department invites applications for a full-time Senior Psychologist/ Psychologist position. The expected duties for the position include psychosocial assessments, counselling/psychotherapy and psycho-education activities related to adjustment and psychological issues within an oncology setting. The psychologist will be expected to interact with other healthcare professionals, work within multi-disciplinary teams and other cancer related agencies in providing psychosocial care. The psychologist will have opportunities to train in evidence-based approaches and treatment methods used in psychosocial oncology, participate in research activities, take part in professional seminars/ workshops, as well as represent the Department in professional/ethic committees.
Job Requirements
- Masters/Doctoral level qualifications in Psychology (Clinical) from an accredited institution
- Registered or eligible for Registration with the Singapore Register of Psychologists (SRP) under the auspices of Singapore Psychological Society (SPS)
- At least 2 years of working experience with demonstrated competency for Psychologist position and at least 4 years for Senior Psychologist
