Responsibilities:
You will troubleshoot, repair, maintain and modify automotive, hydraulic, mechanical and electrical systems used in container terminal operations. You may also participate in equipment modification projects to improve equipment reliability, safety and maintainability
Equipment Maintenance and Repair
- Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs on specialized equipment.
- Diagnose and resolve technical issues promptly to minimize downtime.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure equipment reliability.
Process Optimization:
- Identify opportunities to enhance equipment performance, efficiency, and safety.
- Implement improvements, upgrades, and modifications as needed.
- Monitor equipment metrics and analyze data to drive continuous improvement.
Technical Documentation:
- Maintain accurate records of equipment maintenance, calibration, and service history.
- Create and update technical manuals, procedures, and troubleshooting guides.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
Training and Support:
- Train operators and maintenance staff on equipment operation, safety protocols, and best practices.
- Provide technical support during equipment installations and commissioning.
Collaboration and Problem-Solving:
- Work closely with engineers, production teams, and vendors to address complex technical challenges.
- Troubleshoot equipment failures, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.
Requirements:
- NITEC/Higher Nitec/Diploma in a technical discipline
- Those without the stipulated qualifications but with related technical experience are also welcome to apply
- Willing to work outdoors, at heights and on weekends
