RedAnts (红蚂蚁) is a Chinese online media platform focusing on viral topics of current affairs that are of interest to the Chinese community in Singapore.
We are looking for suitable candidates to join our team as a Video Journalist. As a Video Journalist, you will be required to:
● Conceptualize stories and think visually to optimize audience engagement
● Manage and execute the pre and post-production of videos which include researching for suitable visual and sound content, filming on location, editing videos, creating graphics for web and mobile video content, as well as archiving footages
● Generate and adapt visual content for different social media platforms
● Manage all video assets
● Coordinate and manage internal and external stakeholders, if necessary
Requirements
● Diploma/degree holders with 3-4 years experience in journalism and/or film/video production; Intermediate or advanced videography, video editing and motion graphic skills would be advantageous
● Effectively bilingual in Chinese and English as this role supports a Chinese online platform
● Proven competency in Adobe Creative Suite - Adobe Premiere, Photoshop, After Effects, illustrator etc.
● Familiar with PC and MAC operating systems, as well as latest trends on social media platforms
● Has a keen interest in news and current affairs, including events in China and other Mandarin-speaking regions
● Analytical thinker with effective problem-solving skills
● Able to adapt quickly to different and fast-paced work environments
● Able to work independently and as a team player
● Able to work irregular hours and within tight time constraints
