Supply Chain Automation Lead/Manager
Our Client from FMCG industry, is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Supply Chain Automation Lead/Manager.
Job Purpose
- Develop and implement a comprehensive strategy for warehouse automation that aligns with Supply Chain objectives
- Identify, evaluate, and select appropriate automation technologies (e.g., robotics, multi-shuttle, AGV, sortation systems) to optimize operations within budgetary constraints.
- Design customized automation solutions tailored to specific warehouse requirements, encompassing layout design, system integration, and process improvement.
- Lead the implementation of large-scale warehouse automation projects from inception to completion, ensuring seamless integration and minimal disruption to operations.
- Meticulously manage project timelines and budgets, ensuring adherence to milestones and budgetary constraints.
- Identify and mitigate risks associated with automation implementation to maintain business continuity.
- Implement comprehensive change management processes, engaging stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle and executing organizational change plans to support transitions to new automated systems.
- Collaborate with various departments (Operations, Technology, Finance, Industrial Engineering, Procurement) to align automation solutions with overall business objectives and regulatory requirements.
- Establish metrics and KPIs to monitor the performance of automated systems, continuously improving efficiency, accuracy, and cost-effectiveness.
- Develop training programs to facilitate staff adaptation to new automation systems and maximize benefits.
- Stay abreast of emerging technologies and trends in warehouse automation, encouraging innovation and piloting new initiatives to validate and integrate new technologies.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, or Computer Science.
- 8 years of experience of warehouse operations, and expertise in overseeing complex automation projects
- Hands-on involvement in implementing, maintaining, or optimizing automation systems, warehouse automation technologies, including robotics, AS/RS, conveyor systems, WMS, and IoT devices.
- Proven project management expertise with a track record of successfully managing large-scale warehouse automation projects, including change management and organizational transitions.
- Deep technical understanding of warehouse automation technologies and material handling equipment, coupled with awareness of emerging trends and innovations in the field
- Proven ability to influence senior leadership team and collaborate all levels
- Effective negotiation and vendor management skills
- Strong analytical and problem solving skill.
- Good analytical, written, presentation and communication skills
